Time how long you take to proclaim each of the following texts. Compare your time to that of the experienced lectors.
How well do they accomplish the goal of the lector ministry? The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in their General Instruction on the Roman Missal paragraph 101 states that “the faithful by listening to the readings from the sacred texts may develop in their hearts a warn and living love for Sacred Scripture.”
